Not many projects have the opportunity to receive a visit by a national TV – and quite few are having the opportunity to have a visit by the Korean TV. Seoul is ranked as the world's leading digital city and a tech capital of the world, and South Korea is also among the world's most technologically advanced and digitally-connected countries – which seems like a natural setting for uptake of the innovative aspects of our project.

In late October Stockport were visited by South Korean Channel A who were looking to do a series on Assistive Technology and Seniors and had found out about Stockport’s involvement in the MARIO Project through the European Innovation Partnership on Active and Healthy Ageing (EIP-AHA) and the piece that Andy Bleaden had done for them.

A TV crew arrived to interview staff from MARIO in Stockport and had a demonstration of MARIO and a chat about the EU Commission funding and what it supported in the project as well as some of the Scale Up opportunities and exploitation potential for MARIO in the future.
